Transferring between Metro Lines (Part 1)

You may find that you will need to take two or more Metro lines to get to your Paris destination. Using your Metro map, determine where the lines intersect to transfer from one line to another. In French, the word correspondance means a "connection" or "transfer."

Let’s look at an example. To get from Charles de Gaulle (CDG)-Étoile to Gare Montparnasse, you will need to take two Metro lines.


Your trip will look like this:


Step 1. Take the minimetro mini1 train toward Château de Vincennes.

Step 2. Transfer to the minimetro mini4 train at Châtelet-Les-Halles.

Step 3. Take the minimetro mini4 train toward Porte d’Orléans.

Step 4. Get off the minimetro mini4 train at Gare Montparnasse.
